CHop it or change it that's how I feel about it. the Whole Celebreality thing just makes me wonder should it not be interesting if celebrities aren't involved? Here's an idea what if they weren't stars . . . I don't know maybe I'm just over saturated. Any takers?

i think its easier to use celebrities because its a character you already recognize. But shows like American Idol and the new reality dance show Your Mama Don't Dance don't use celebrities and they do pretty well.

If DWtS doesn't see a drop with this spring edition, it will with the next fall edition

I don't know. This seems like a pretty durable franchise to me. More durable than originally thought. The key will be cutting back a bit. Only an hour on Mondays and eventually 30 minutes on Tuesdays.

I seriously think DWTS is going to be phased out really soon. I can't believe that Ian Z went from putting himself on THAT show..and is now hosting a dancing show. At least he doesn't get out there and dance on Your Mama Don't Dance.

How can you expect to be taken seriously in a ratings forum when you say that one of the biggest hits on television today, and one of the very few shows anywhere to be actually growing is going to be "phased out real soon?" You can wish that would happen, just like I wish American Idol would come down to earth sometime real soon, but neither is going to happen in the near horizon.

People are as obsessed with Dancing as they are Idol and its older people. Much less fickle audiences than of shows like Greys Anatomy or other ABC series. This one may end up lasting the longest if treated correctly (limiting the amount of 2 hour telecasts is one way of doing this).

You are about to enter a second complete year of "Dancing" on year round.

You have DWtS in the fall, followed by Dance Wars, then DWtS in the Spring, followed by "So You Think You Can Dance" on Fox in the Summer.

Plus add that Lifetime Your Mama Dont Dance program this spring and People will soon get sick of Dancing Programs.

I disagree -- they didn't get sick of American Idol when all the Singing clones exploded a few years ago. Only one of those, Dance War, had anyone from DWTS associated with it, so it's not like we see DWTS all year long.

Agreed. Idol has had twice as many clones as Dancing.
