Folks, I just heard that after an astonishing 11 seasons, the Camdens are leaving us: 7th Heaven has been canceled by the CW.

No official comment yet, but I'm told that the producers, cast and crew were informed by the network today. It's a done deal.

It was 7th Heaven that first introduced us to stars like Jessica Biel and What About Brian's Barry Watson, and the family-friendly show was by far the biggest ratings getter on the late, great WB network.

Reverend Camden, Lucy, our televisions won't the same without you—but Happy the dog, I think I'll miss you most of all!

I have comments...

First, I know this sounds bad, but I always thought that Happy was going to have to be replaced due to health..but wow!

Second, DEJA VU..isn't this just like last year..?? =D We will see what happens in the 07-08 season...!

Third, I think it's pretty funny that we are proud of a show that brought tops of 8million viewers to the WB, 8?? And that was for about 1-2 seasons...only....

Hmmm...Do I smell "Everwood" around the corner? Not likely, but the CW has done several not-likely things lately...

7th Heaven was a big hit for the WB, but the network never gave it the attention it deserved. It was more focused on shows like Buffy and Dawson's Creek, yet those shows lasted half as long.
