Supernatural does moderately well in its time schedule with the lack of promotion that the show receives everytime we see the demo climbing. Doesn't the marketing department get it that you need to continually promote a show the entire season for it to really catch on to people? Unfortunately looking at their new pilot pick ups, there really seems to be more "Runaways" than "Buffies".

Basically folks, you can be certain Supernatural will return before VM and its probably tied with OTH. I look for a potential new night like Tuesday or Sunday next year.
I think it has a much better chance that OTH. It has had much higher ratings, except this past week, with much tougher competition. So I would say that there is a much better chance for Supernatural being renewed than either VM or OTH.

I would love for the show to move to Sunday. I am pretty sure the show will be renewed. They had a panel at the winter press tour and they wouldn't have wasted a panel on a show they had no intention of renewing.
I think Sunday would be good for Supernatural, but I'm doubting CW will want to change their Thursday nights for a while, plus I don't know what other show they could put on Thursdays at 9 that would do as well, maybe Smackdown.
I absolutely hated last week's ratings, but I don't think they'll stay that low, especially with The OC ending. The time slot is brutal, so CW won't put a new show there and they've already said they don't think any of their current shows could do as well there, so I'm pretty sure Supernatural is safe. It would just be nice to hear that officially.

Anyone read the taglines for Supernatural and realized how horrible they do in drawing in new fans? The taglines make it sound like Jared and Jensen are OTH boys going ghostbusting.....

You mean "Scary just got Sexy" isn't a good tag line?
It's like they are trying to drive viewers away. They market it to only one group of the popultation (teenagers), when a lot of other people are in the world. They should be playing up the comparisons to Buffy and the X-Files and not how hot the guys are.
"Unfortunately", we don't have a sex scene every 30 minute during the show, or that tagline would actually work. And the tagline don't even appeal to teens, they appeal to teen girls who wonder why they don't have such hot boys chasing after them. Personally when I saw that ad, the first thing that came to my mind was "loser show with good looking leads having sex." They need to learn that not all teens talk about the hot celeb that there are those of us that actually watch quality programming.

"Scary just got Sexy" was (and maybe still is) Australia's slogan for the show. Their slogan for the CW is "Free to be scary"...which...yeah, pretty stupid. All of their "Free to be..." slogans were awful though.

I have seen that slogan in the US. It is the CW slogan here, not the local tv affiliate. I believe it was even in a magazine at the launch of the season
