Start at $20. You lost $0.20 for Ugly Betty(2.6 vs. 2.4), you lost $0.40 for GA (6.5 vs. 6.1), you lost $0.80 for Lost (5.5 vs. 4.7), and you lost $0.40 for Survivor (4.4 vs. 4.0). Total loss is $1.80, so you are left with $18.20.

I think that looking at it in terms of how many dimes you lose for each 0.1 deviation from the correct guess is a whole lot easier than doing the whole math formula.
