Looks like AMC has two more series in the works. One set in the 1920s and focusing on a magician who become embroiled in political shenanigans. The other is about diamond merchants.
Can't wait. The magician one sounds very interesting. It's nice to see that AMC and some other cable networks have plans on showing more scripted, high quality shows.

Given the critical success (AMC) and the rating succes (USA)(TNT) the cable nets are having, pretty soon cable will have more scripted drama shows than the networks do. As a fan of scripted shows, especially ones that are serialized, this is great news.
I also noticed this little tidbit, which is probably old news. AMC is remaking The Prisoner (I loved that old show) as a mini series with Jim Caviezel and Ian McKellan.
That's great! I really have a lot of faith in the network following "Mad Men." I can't wait for that to start up again. I really think cable networks are beginning to hose my favorite series.
