THIS THREAD IS UPDATED FREQUENTLY SO CHECK BACK OFTEN FOR NEW INFO
If you do not know this Wildfire has not been renewed for another season and there are articles saying that it is not coming back, including TVGuide. This is not a Rumor. Please participate in this. To be successful or even get noticed we need a huge response. I have contacted Amy Maloney ABC Family (818) 973–4138 about this and she has confirmed it. She said that we NEED MORE VIEWERS TO SAVE THE SHOW and that the producers have an ending for the season that is good for ending the series. That the network wants to cancel it because they are making new shows and other shows are doing better then Wildfire. She said we have a core audience but not enough. She said that the network is aware of the campaign. She said if the ratings go up we might be able to save it.
SPREADING THE WORD IS THE BEST THING WE CAN DO AT THIS POINT. Feel free to take my post and repost it any where. Post bulletins on Myspace and Facebook to spread the word.

Wow...what an awesome campaign underway that you are chieftanting the devoted towards.
My idea to save Wildfire: target The CW!
I sense there is a groundshift underway with The CW and MyNetworkTV, and that groundshift will see MyNetworkTV evolving towards a version of early '00s UPN with a line-up targetted towards young males (WWE Smackdown, Whacked Out Videos, Street Patrol/Jail, movies) and African-Americans (Flavor Flav sitcom, specials, movies).
By letting WWE Smackdown go, I think The CW is making a similar evolution (or is it devolution) towards a version of early '00s WB with a line-up largely targeted towards young female demographics (ANTM, Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, Supergirl spin-off, Supernatural with the huntresses).
However, ever since the WB-UPN merger that created The CW, along came ABC Family who have very quietly become the voice of the new generation that The WB used to be with shows like Wildfire, Kyle XY, Falcon Beach and all those WB repeats (Seventh Heaven, Everwood, etc.). As Ms. Ostroff scans the 2008-09 landscape, there is someone else attracting her legacy WB demo, and that someone else is ABC Family.
Which is why her best move now would be to send out a message to all those loyal ABC Family young female demographics that there's a new home for their viewership, and that new home is The CW.
If I were Ms. Ostroff, I would pick up Wildfire, and give it a push and a shove and the 8:00 p.m. Sunday timeslot could become hers for W18-34s.
Well it definitely looks like the cw is keeping tabs on abc family growth.
They are now courting the female demo on monday nights with gossip girl and one tree hill. New episode of those two series start in early april. That brings it into direct competition with ABC Fam's Greek and Wildfire. That will be an interesting fight....
Not to be pessimistic, but it might be more logical to try and convince Lionsgate to release seasons 3 and 4 on DVD as opposed to getting a fifth season.
The reason I say this is because the odds of a series being "un-canceled" are rare. Sure, there are examples like "Jericho" on CBS, but for every series saved, there are dozens that fall by the wayside.
According to www.thefutoncritic.com, this will indeed be the final season of "Wildfire" and ABC Family advertised the final five episodes (to resume airing in late April) as "the final run". Perhaps this is what ABC Family had intended to do all along. If I remember correctly, ABC Family ordered 26 episodes back in 2006 intending to split them into two 13 episode seasons (like the first two seasons which also had 13 episodes).
ABC Family has been very supportive of the series and looks as though it intends to give it a "victory lap" with a five week swan song beginning April 28. Hopefully producers have written a final episode that will serve as a series finale and allow closure for the fans.
Concerning the DVDs, Lionsgate put together exceptional releases for seasons 1 and 2 with loads of extras (for a cable series). If "Wildfire" does indeed have to conclude after four seasons, it might be more realistic to lobby Lionsgate for seasons 3 and 4 on DVD as well. Since both seasons were only 13 episodes each, Lionsgate could package both seasons together (since that number is just a couple more episodes than a standard broadcast series season order). Although it may be too late to tie a Season 3/4 release to the conlusion of the series, but the release could definately be out by the end of the year.
That is definitely an avenue to explore. Fans would love it. At the moment, we really want to see the series continue. After the announcement of Wildfire final run, everyone who did'nt know about the cancellation, fan activity has sky rocketed. .
I actually talked to insider who read the script, the final episode has 'some closure' but was written as a season finale. Lionsgates and the writers expected to be back for another season that would have started filming this feb. Wildfire deserves a fighting chance. We are trying to make that happen.
Very sad to hear Wildfire is not scheduled to return! The kids on this show have done such a great job and all of them have matured so much as actors. Wildfire definitely deserves another race!
