I was wondering if Kyle XY would be coming back for the last 10 episodes of season 2 in January or March. The trailer at the end of their cliffhanger just said returning in 2008. So places say January and others say March. I'm just confused.

Since it's fairly popular, I assume that they want to bring it back for a 3rd season, but if it starts airing in March, then it'd finish mid-May. June would be around the corner and that's typically when the start the new season.

Does anyone know for sure?

No idea about when the second half starts, but a third season renewal is confirmed.

I'm a little surprised the order's only for 10 eps though. That small order might mean Season 3 is the end of the line for Kyle.

I don't think Kyle is in any trouble of being canceled.

Since season 1 was only 10 and season 2 was 13, then they shocked everyone by ordered an addition 13 for season 2!

I think that if the ratings for season 3 are good, they'll do it again.

Hit drama coming back for third season
By JOSEF ADALIANABC Family has picked up a third season of hit drama "Kyle XY."
Skein -- from exec producers Chris Bender and J.C. Spink of Benderspink, along with Eric Tuchman and David Himmelfarb -- has been a solid performer for the net, which labels the show its signature skein.

During its sophomore season, "Kyle XY" grew 8% among adults 18-34. Among female teens, it also finished second among all basic cable shows in its timeslot.

Production start date for season three has yet to be locked in. Skein is still in production on the second half of its second season order.

"Kyle XY" stars Matt Dallas in the titular role. Other cast members include Marguerite MacIntrye, Bruce Thomas, April Matson, Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Chris Olvero, Kirsten Prout and Jaimie Alexander.

Skein, from ABC Studios, was created by Eric Bress and J. Mackeye Gruber.

It makes sense that they only ordered 10 episodes for season 3. They still have the back 10 for season 2 to air along with new episodes Greek and Wildfire. They also have a couple of new series in the works and because they only program 1 night a week with original series, 10 episodes for season 3 is all they need.
