How did Miss Amercia do this year? Were there an increase in ratings? I only saw one episode of Reality Check and that was on Saturday prior to the telecast of the pagent. It was refreshing to get to "know" the girls prior to the competition. Typcially you just root for your home state and even then you never knew personal information about the girl.
The actual new Miss America pagent tended to lean towards a bit cheesy at times. Even more so since the "losers" were offered donuts and Miss Michigan (the winner) her platform is eating disorders - that is just bad taste. The girls all look very healthy and fit with nice curves. And it was almost as if the host was trying to imatate Ryan Seacrest and making it "Amercian Idol" esc.
The new format is more hip but needs some work.
