I read somewher ethat they signed on to air both Criminal Minds and Ghost Whisperer in Primetime next fall.

Its expected to get Ghost Whisperer for 09 according to sitcomsonline. Apparently even ION is getting away from comedies and going towards more hour long stuff.

A&E Taking It Too

It looks like Ion is wanting to become the Over-The-Air broadcast version of TNT.

I would not be surprised that a year from now, or at least fall 2009, they will be up close to 800k to 1 million viewers average.

I believe they also will air Boston Legal next season.

Agreed. In fact, I think Ion passing MNTV is more likely to happen in the next year or two than MNTV passing CW.

Still, in order to build a network for the future, you need original content, not just a network that airs reruns.

Doesn't ION air original RHI telefilms on weekends?

I hope Ghost Whisperer gets picked up for syndication rights. It already does fairly well in reruns for CBS I'm sure it would do better on a cable network, especially since CBS does not have it on On Demand or streaming the episodes online.
