For DVR results to count, do you have to watch the show within 7 days or 24 hours? Or do the results count right away after you DVR it?


Be Sure To Check Out Returning On October 1, 2008 at 8pm!

Simply recording a show doesn't count in the ratings, you have to watch it afterwards. If you watch it by 3am (or is it 2am) the next morning, your viewing will count in the Live+same day ratings that Marc publishes. If you watch it within 3 days, your viewing will count in the 'C3' data that the advertisers/networks base their financials upon. If you watch it within 7 days, your viewing will count in the Live+7 ratings that are touted as DVR numbers (tvbythenumbers.com is a good source for this data).

Also, if you don't have a Neilsen ratings box hookup it really doesn't matter whether you record it or watch it anyway. Wink

True. I thought it went without saying that if you were not a Nielsen family than you are of no relevance to the ratings.
