Are we headed for a TV crash similar to the great videogame crash of the 1980s? This occurred when VG makers started turning out garbage to hurry games to the market insteada taking the time & care to make QUALITY games.
With the glut of new nets and net-ettes out there now, I'm wondering if TV is headed for a similar train wreck? I am old enough to remember when TV selection was very limited, and I was quite happy when I was able to view more than just the "Big Three" nets...but now it seems I'm paying out good money to bring in junk on several of the "minor" channels, that to me isn't worth two minutes of viewing time, "shows" that are sometimes lower in quality than those aired by the local high school channel. Sometimes I wonder if this trend will spread to some of the larger nets or net-ettes? I hope not.
It appeared almost the whole TV industry leaned in this direction during the writers' strike.
