Marc, since ER has officially announced that 2008-2009 is its final year, can you please refrain from adding the same mind numbing comment about it being time to end the show when you do each Thursday's ratings? Instead, why not try something respectful like 'as the veteran heads off into the sunset'?

I agree. It seems as though every episode is the same story...Charlie is drunk, has sex, and Alan has yet another minor issue. It's getting very old. And I think that's why the ratings are sinking dramatically. I wonder if Big Bang Theory or How I Met Your Mother could shape up to Two and a Half Men's numbers, it's only a few million more.

I don't mind if i miss it either. But, I do tend to catch almost all the episodes in reruns. Sheen aside, I think the show has a very funny supporting cast.

I'm not sure dramatically sinking is the correct term here. It is still the number one comedy on TV. Because of the strike it is harder to judge ratings trends, but it would seem that only "The Office" is at a similar demo level with "men," among comedies. As for viewers, for what it is worth, it is not even close.
As for BBT and HIMYM, they will never have as big a numbers as "Men," IMO.
Berta and Evelyn are the best, and are not used enough.

I think what they should do is make Evelyn move in with Charlie and Alan, how great would that be?

Considering the show could get 17 million viewers last year, and it can't even get 15 this year, that tells us something is wrong. Last year around this time, its lead in was in the low 7 millions, and it still got around 15 million. Now, its lead in is in the 9 millions and it only gets 14. Something is wrong.
And to call it the #1 comedy is nothing major, considering there are comedies that get around 2 million less viewers than it. Now, if the show was well above other comedies in ratings...then that would matter.

The only comedy that really comes close to 2&1/2Men in viewership is whatever comedy airs right after it and that comedy certainly wouldn't pull those numbers without 2&1/2Men as a lead-in.
