A Page Six item in the New York Post this morning (3/13/08) stated that "Rachael Ray" is on the way out. Does anyone have more info on this? This item looks kind of bogus to me (The Post did get the syndicator wrong for Marie Osmond's upcoming talk show...)

Smells pretty bogus to me. In today's fractured, DVRed syndication market a 2.2 or even 2 is considered to be "reasonable".

And if a 2 was considered to be "too low", then Martha would have gotten the axe a while ago, considering her program is sitting at a 1.1 nationally, and Maury is roughly the same as Rachel Ray right now.

Hey Marc, thanks for answering my question on Friday's podcast. Somehow, I figured this story was bogus given the syndicator error they made on Marie Osmond's upcoming show, and I called the Daily Rupert out on my blog for it.

BTW, I found this info on Katz Media's website, and though its dated from last October, it showed "Rachael Ray" dominating the time slot on WABC at 10 a.m., so I don't know where someone would get the idea that the show needs to be replaced in New York (now the Chicago ratings for "Rachael" - that's a completely different story... It's probably not good when your show loses to "Judge Mathis" reruns.)

Rachael is not the huge hit CBS would like you to think. But it does well enough to be around for many more years.

Wasn't Judge Maria Lopez renewed with less than a 1 rating?
