CBS has pickedup a 6 episode order the comedy "The Captain" for mid season.

It will star Jeffrey Tambor, Raquel Welch and Chris Klein.

The plot is about a veteran Hollywood writer.

I bet that if all 4 Monday comedies are doing well this and Christine will be shown Wednesdays at 8 during the holiday break like King of Queens was last year.

The Captain s/b be paired with Pirate Masters. Arghhh...

I think it would be a mistake if they put this on Wed with Christine though.....neither would find an audience. This show sounds by the actors to be older skewing (unfortunately - but I'll check it out...)

Perhaps it will be a good fit for after 60 Minutes (along with Christine) and Viva Laughlin, which will have already been an established hit, can be moved to the 9pm hour. Cold Case or Shark can go on hiatus for 6 weeks.

I said only if all 4 Monday comedies are doing well. This would be an attempt to establish another comedy night. If one of the 4 monday comedies isn't working I would use Christine in that slot and have The Captain take its slot for 6 weeks.
