Then how do you explain the success of According To Jim?

Obviously we aren't always so successful at producing hits, but even AtJ is better than Desire!

Well if you've ever seen Passions, you'd realize that this caliber of acting on TV has been around for awhile.

Wicked Wicked Games actually has a bit actor from Passions in one of the lead roles and the British guy from Sunset Beach in another lead role. I think those of you who appreciate the fun that was Fashion House would get into Wicked Wicked Games.

The other new show is a snore.

OK, you sold me, since December is basically a dead month for the networks, I'll check it out. (Although telling me about a bit player on Passions isn't exactly a great sales pitch Wink

Wicked Wicked Games is most wicked - a great execution of the Kane and Abel plot. I am so into WWG that I'm watching it live right now, which is rare for me to do. It would be nice if MyNetworkTV could find a way to encore early episodes (overnight maybe) to allow new viewers to go back to the beginning and watch it all, rather than catch up with highlights. I predict this show will be hitting a 1.0 in 18-49's by January.

I concur that Watch Over Me is a bit plodding by comparison...I'm watching it mostly for the scenes with Casper Van Dien and Catherine Oxenberg (a couple in real life)...but the plotline don't hold my interest as much, and the networks have better offerings on at 9 pm.

Marc, can you open up a folder for Wicked Wicked Games?

They do the recaps on Saturday nights which work well for catching me up, at least during Fashion House they did. Plus every episode starts w/ a recap.

I second the motion for a Wicked Wicked Games folder!

MyNetworkTV must be getting sick of being at the bottom of the ratings. TVWeek is reporting that they are considering adding unscripted programming and cutting the novelas to two nights a week. Said changes would likely happen in the summer, following the conclusion of Wicked Wicked Games and the other new dud they have on the air now.

An article in today's Broadcasting & Cable points to signicant declines for the new serials vs the previous ones. Desire averaged 0.4 in the demo, and Fashion House 0.5, while Wicked and Watch both achieved 0.3 average in their premiere week. Ouch. That's like 3 young adults out of a thousand. It's unfortunate because I think MNT has a winner in Wicked, and even though I'm enjoying it immensely, it's taking a lot of time to keep up with it. Right now, the hours I spent watching originals on The CW are all going to watch Wicked (and the occasional hour of Watch). When The CW comes back, I'm going to probably give up on a few of their series that I watch out of habit more than anything (Gilmore Girls and Smallville).

The network should focus just on the good, well cast novellas like Wicked Wicked Games and add other programming to create diversity. They also don't do themselves any favors by not promoting them in any way. How are people supposed to know there is a new network?

Don't you mean in the spring? Both of those shows will run out by March.

And I thought I saw that they had only ordered one novela for the spring quarter.
