This natural disaster's fallout remains large enough to effect current TV ratings as well as the national economy.
Side note: this article mentions the importance of having a battery operated TV, but fails to point out that most all of those TVs will be junk pile material come next February with the conversion to digital broadcasting. If people live in power outage prone areas, I encourage them to buy a new portable TV that has a digital antenna/receiver.
