Even if you are like me, who's not a fan of Judy's or have no interest about anything Judy, you'll still find yourself fascinated with these recordings.
The link to this MP3 audio (LINK) is a 24-minute 2001 radio broadcast (you may know this radio show) of a review of Judy Garland's rantings from the 1960s. Judy's rants come from a 2-disc set entitled "Judy Garland Speaks! Celebrities...At Their Worst! (Volume 2.5)" Here's the description of these discs:
"Ultra-rare home voice tapes which were recorded as notes for her never written autobiography Judy Garland Speaks!
This 'interim' volume in the infamous Celebrities series consists entirely of ultra-rare home voice tapes of 'America's Sweetheart' ranting and raving near the end of her troubled life.
Super-agent Irving 'Swifty' Lazar gave her a tape recorder and told her to dictate the autobiography which she never lived to write.
At this phase of her career Judy has just been ripped off for the CBS television show she never wanted to do, and plagued with ex-husband Sid Luft's gambling debts and his trying to get custody of her children -- and boy, is she PISSED!"
Please post your response to this audio once finishing listening.

Now this was classic! I especially like the part about the airplane..."Birds don't go up this high"...and "I don't want to die with this cast"...absolutely hilarious.
I agree. Also classic is her "response" to people calling her a drug addict and the "label" she gives to the public she has entertained.

If I saw the name of Judy Garland attached to a discussion and I didn't know what it was about, I'd run for the hills too but don't let it dissuade you from listening to this audio. It's sad but funny too in listening to her rant!
Even Marc labeled her as "some spicy Dorothy!"
Of course, for the entire 24 minutes, you'll hear all the clips in context but if you just want the two standouts highlights of the audio, I suggest you go to the following timestamps: at 9 minutes, 6 seconds in and at 16 minutes, 14 seconds in.
Please check it out.
