TVNewser is reporting that a fourth hour of the Today show is on the way with Billy Bush among other in-house talents carrying most of the weight. It will reportedly be announced on Wednesday and will begin in the fall. The NBC soap Passions is rumored to be the show taking the fall for Today's extra hour.

Personally, I find this to be a bad direction for NBC. It will only drain the Today franchise, despite the fact that it could pull in higher revenue than Passions. Here's the website: http://www.tvnewser.com

Another hour of Billy Bush each day? Exactly what does NBC see as his appeal? It has always eluded me!

I can picture it. Someday, Billy Bush will be doing NBC Nightly News, and Carson Daly will be hosting the Tonight show.

Please, get me the BARF BAG!!! I cannot stand Billy Bush. I met him at an NBC Summer Press Tour event a few years ago, and the guy is competely full of himself. Plus, three hours of Today is already one too many.

Already, by the third hour they give us hints on useful things like how to fill a pot with dirt and 10 ways to use old stockings. What could they possibly do for a fourth hour, completely recap the 3 previous hour's segments and find out who Paris, Lindsay and Britney infected with std's the night before?

Well, he is just as painful at night. Big Grin I take it you won't be returning for a 2nd dosing of Grease tomorrow night.

I used to watch CBS This Morning, the predecessor to the Early Show, but when they made the Chenbot an anchor, I gave up on mornings all together. I just wait until 8:00 to catch Fox New Live. Hopefully CBS lure Campbell Brown away from NBC and forms a new morning team with Harry Smith, Brown, Russ Mitchell, and Dave Price. Move Hannah Storm back to sports and make the Chenbot an entertainment correspondent.

Well this could have worked if they took some of the stars of Passions (like Juliet Mills and Galen Gering and OMG - Marla Gibbs is on that show!) and had them host the segments in character. It would be a lot better than Billy Bush.

You know what, Billy Bush v. Passions, I think I vote for Billy Bush. I don't think it will work though for NBC ratings wise, either way. I liked the idea to do a daytime Deal or No Deal.

My vote goes to Passions. The show is hilarious yet dramatic at the same time. There's no other soap like it on TV and it will be sad if NBC cuts down to one soap a day.

As usual we agree. I don't watch any more (since that midget Timmy died, I went into permanent mourning). But I like to tune in from time to time just for the eye candy and to see what Tabitha is up to.

xwiseguyx, are you sure we're not twins?
Oh, and I agree about Timmy. He was the best part of the entire show.
