Firefly (2002) was a critically acclaimed, low rated TV series which was cancelled after airing 12 of the 15 epsiodes produced, but was granted a 2005 theatrical release due to a massive cult following. Veronica Mars (2004-2007) was a 3 season, 64 episode produced critically acclaimed, low rated TV series with a massive cult following. The Pretender (1996-2000) was a 4 season, 86 episode produced series that aired two 4hr movies on TNT in January & December 2001 due to a massive cult following. Farscape (1999-2003) was 4 season, 88 episode produced series with a cult following that aired a 4hr miniseries in October 2004 after being cancelled. See where I'm going with this? I firmly believe that there's hope for VM. VM haters (mostly fueled by jealousy) think otherwise. Here are VM's options:
Picked up by a cable network for a 15 episode season
4hr miniseries or a 2hr movie on tv, then released on dvd/vhs/itunes
4hr miniseries or a 2hr movie direct to dvd/vhs/itunes
2hr theatrical release, then released on dvd/vhs/itunes
