According to the website www.thefutoncritic.com, Fox has decided to extend the run of newly introduced game show "Are You Smarter Than a 5TH Grader" by a least four weeks - taking it thru April 19.
In addition, the net will add encore airing of Sunday comedies "Family Guy" and "American Dad" at 9:00 and 9:30 respectively starting March 15 (for "Guy") and March 22 (for "Dad").
This will require Fox to dump "Nanny 911" and "Trading Spouses" which the net says will return at a later/undetermined date.
If "Smarter" can retain even half the audience it has so far gotten post-"Idol" on Tuesday and Wednesday, expect the series to stay put thru the rest of the season - and possibly into next fall.
They've tried animation there before with Family Guy. It didn't work. Keep the comedies on Sunday. They do fine there. I'd move House to Thursdays at 8 next year and launch something compatible after it to take on CSI/Greys.

I bet if 5th grader did well last night and next Thursday, it will get another order of episodes, for at least the rest of the season.

True, but things are different now.
You have all 4 animated shows and they will beat NBC, hands down. Could take a run at 2nd at 8pm
I think it's not easy to lauch anything new on Thursday at 9 anymore. Grey's Anatomy already covers the female demo, CSI has the male demo, and NBC covers the comedies. Since Family Guy and American Dad are encores, I highly doubt they will do very well against original episodes of CSI, Grey's, Scrubs and Supernatural (yes I have to mention the show.)
