Rumor has it that ABC is considering moving Lost back to its initial timeslot @ 8/7c to lead into Traveler. Furthermore the "new and improved" Six Degrees and October Road are going in front of focus groups.
IMO...poor Lost AND Traveler. If (the decision hasn't been made yet) ABC moves the show again the ratings will probably decline even more but obviously the current 10/9c-slot is killing Lost...so something has to be done. And premiering Traveler against AI...at least the audiences are different. From my point of view ABC should have aired Lost this season @ 8/7c from the very beginning since the show started in this timeslot and it is by far the least competitive hour on Wednesdays.
IMO, ABC will give lost at least a couple of weeks at 10pm time slot and if the ratings stabilize around 13-14 million they should not move, however if the ratings decline, they don't have a choice, they cant let a show that literally rescued them out of bankruptcy die like that. Traveller is a really promising show. ABC seems to be losing faith in Traveller even before it has aired, this is the best traveller is going to get and Lost and Traveller have similar audiences so at least its going to have a fighting chance, the way ABC has been treating Traveller with delaying its air date and cutting th episode order I was thinking that they were going to put it on saturday night leading out of a repeat of Supernanny or whatever they air on saturdays. Even if traveler can manage 9-10 million in front of AI, abc should be happy I mean it is probably dirt cheap to produce after all CBS is happy with Jericho which is getting around 10 million viewers.

Excuse me? Overrated? that has to the first time I seen Bones called overrated.
All shows that have a fan base are considered overrated by others... You can't expect everyone to like Bones just like I can't expect everyone to like my favorite shows The Office and The Amazing Race.

But to be called overrated, it must have some backing to it. It neither has promotions (nothing compared to other shows), Great ratings (decent ratings), critic backing (well not in large amounts), or an extremely large vocal fan base. I can't see it being called overrated.
Bones is feeding off of the Death Star. When Idol's not around, its numbers drop big time. Jericho was beating it pre-Idol last fall and I guarantee you, even with the Idol lead out, Bones would be crushed by Lost.

That I can understand, jealousy of its use of the Death Star (If I wasn't such a fan of Bones and House, I would too). I absolutely agree Bones would be crushed by Lost, it happened last year. But things have changed since then, Bones has only grown in its own and Lost just keeps losing viewers. Things have changed.

I still think they should have just kept it at 9pm. By not doing that, they are encouraging people to watch American Idol. Besides American Idol ratings ahs icnreased I bet a good portion of those are people who would otherwise be watching LOST. The reason why ABc probably is giving up on Traveler, which I dont think they are, but if they are it's only because Six Degrees, The Nine, and Day Break has failed for them.

As someone who never even heard of Bones until this season when I was looking at the fall schedule, I would not call Bones overrated. And since I don't watch Bones I consider myself to be an independent viewer and I don't realize why anyone would call Bones overrated. It only doing good because it's before American Idol, critics never really talk about... I would agree it makes no sense to call it overrated.

I don't think Six Degrees, The nine have got anything to do with Traveller they are entirely different kind of shows, 6 and The Nine were a lot more like Grey's and DH whereas Traveller is alot more on the lines of Lost and Prison Break.
Bones has grown and gotten its own audience but Lost would still beat it. Last year when Bones aired on Wednesdays at 9pm it got crushed by Lost. In fact, those episodes were lower rated than the episodes when it moved to 8pm.

What does (or did) The Nine have in common with Desperate Housewives and Grey's?

I talking more about the term 'crush'. I think Bones has gotten a rather loyal audience since the last face up between Bones and Lost. I obviously thing that Lost will beat Bones but it will not be the same crushing defeat like last showdown.

I kinda doubt we'll get that showdown, at least this season.
