NBC it appears will bench Friday Night Lights beginning in April as "Thank God You're Here" a new improv comedy series will debut on Wednesdays beginning April 18th at 8pm. The show will premiere on Monday April 9th and April 16th following Deal or No Deal before moving to its new timeslot. Futoncritc has the details: http://www.thefutoncritic.com/news.aspx?id=20070226nbc02
Does this mean Friday Night Lights is benched or will it have aired all its episodes by this point?
UPDATE: Futoncritic listings how Friday Night Lights projected season finale the previous week (April 11th) at 8/7c, so apparently NBC won't be airing very many FNL repeats.
I think if Friday Night Lights can hit over 7 million for its last few episodes and over a 2.5 among 18-49s that it will be renewed and moved to either Friday or possibly moved to Monday, post-Heroes.
I thought NBC was ready to take a step up this season, and pass ABC for 3rd. But if it doesnt watch out, the CW could take over 4th.... Na, that won't happen in this decade.
NBC is what, Heros, Law & Order SVU, ER, Deadl or No Deal... That's It. That's the list.
Ya, but the demo is most important and they often tie for second against Survivor. They pull in 4's consistently. Thats good. They're also the two youngest skewing comedies on TV.

Don't forget Sunday Night Football in the fall and America's Got Talent in the summer.
The title to this thread is extremely misleading. It was reported back in December that NBC was going to run FNL all the way through in the new year, with few, if any repeats and end the season early(they're doing this with Las Vegas as well). This has always been planned. It's not something they just decided to rush to end the season early. So, those of you sticking a fork in the show are doing so prematurely. The ratings could be better, but they aren't the reason the show is ending in April. NBC planned that long ago.
