Yes...definitely. This is a test. And NBC is smart to focus on game shows but three is now enough.

Speaking of gameshows, ABC has cancelled Show Me the Money. My guess, Big Day has one week left to prove itself. After it flops this week, ABC can go to movies on Tuesdays as a lead in to Boston Legal.

Wow. Marc, does ABC have shows ready to replace all of their holes in their scheduels or are they going to just put repeats that dont do too well?

ABC failures to date -- Brian, Help Me, Big Day, Daybreak, Show Me the $, The Nine, Six Degrees. Men in Trees(on life support) -- and coming up for Tuesday and Wednesday, Notes from the Underbelly, Knights and In Case of Emeregency have got be be certain failures opposite AI, Criminal Minds and House.
Maybe the network should return one or two nights to its stations!

Another ABC failure includes the one-episode run of Extreme Makeover. I would argue that What About Brian is not a confirmed failure, but is a second series on life support instead. A third ABC series on life support is Primetime, which has very poor numbers in its first four airings this season(averaging 4.6, 8%, 2.6). Good news for ABC has to be the rosy daytime numbers for The View and the strengthening World News Tonight with Charlie Gibson. quote: Originally posted by samcat913: ABC failures to date -- Brian, Help Me, Big Day, Daybreak, Show Me the $, The Nine, Six Degrees. Knights of Prosperity and In Case of Emergency won't face House. KoP looks to be very male skewing kind of like My Name is Earl. Last season Earl did well against CSI. Maybe the same will happen for KoP. In Case of Emergency actually doesn't look too bad either, and the fact that Fox won't have one hour Idol results forever is encouraging. Plus, In Case also has a Lost lead out coming in February. Remember how Lost helped stinker Freddie do modestly last year?

Where is Freddie now?!? A dog is a dog -- and chances are, based on ABC's recent comedy track record, they'll both be gone by mid-March... And believe me, Knights is no Earl.

I'm not saying that KoP is Earl, but it sure looks something Earl's audience would check out. Considering the long shot these two comedies have, do you think that GLo or AtJ will get another year?

I just heard that ABC will be airing another weekly edition of America's Funniest Home Videos (repeats probably) Tuesday at 8 p.m. in place of Show Me the Money.

Not so great. I see no reason for it to continue beyond this week.
I disagree. I enjoyed it and my partner, who typically doesn't like Game Shows also enjoyed it. The only issues I had is that they seem to use the same elements of the other game shows Deal or No Deal and 1 vs. 100 - the whole feel is the the same. Including using the friends for help (which so far has been both contestants downfall). Even those ridiculous pauses as they tell you if you were right or not. I like this much better than Deal or No Deal, but not quite as much as 1 vs. 100 (at least not yet). If they revamp this to get rid of the "helpful" friends and other distractions and play the game more, this should be a more addictive show.

They have Americanized it quite a bit. The European version, if I remember correctly, had none of the lifelines BUT the contestant could ask a question of each person...there was a limit, though I can't remember the details. quote: Originally posted by xwiseguyx: quote: Originally posted by lambertman: So, back to the show in the topic of this thread...
