It's always the same. Based on last year, I would not take anything NBC says that Monday seriously. One week later it changed half the schedule.

Considering that teh Upfronts is in the first half of May how important is the May Sweeps really? I mean, they already decide the fall schedule so does it matter to ABC what Boston Legal's finale numbers really are?

A lot of the series will have already had their Season Finale by then, so I am sure they have the data needed.

Though a strong number in the early days of the sweep can change network minds about cancellation towards renewal (7th Heaven, What About Brian).

I wouldn't be surprised if all the networks make a bunch of changes to try to pit their hits against each other.
