You're be happy to know that its new show will air on NBC, and it seems to be set in Chicago. Should be about a father-daughter couple of lawyers, a dramedy.
And in the end the love you take is equal to the love you make.

That led into Boston Legal, with a second-place 5.4/ 9 from 10-11 p.m., and growth out of the 9:30 p.m. portion of Samantha Who? of 15 percent. Next Monday marks the series-finale of Boston Legal.
'Boston Legal' was brilliant last night, with Miss Betty White reprising her Catherine Piper role (her ringtone, the theme music from 'The Practice'), and she was in fine form, suing the television networks for their ageism in not offering programming for the well-to-do, only-ones-left-with-disposable-income 50+ demographic.
Since she won her lawsuit against the networks, Mr. David Kelly should now build a 10 pm ABC series around Catherine Piper. She'll kick Detective Caruso's ass!
DEK should leave Boston lawyers alone or a while and go back to Chicago. And, for the love of god, he should try to get FOX or NBC to air his shows, because both The Practice and BL have been pearls before swine at ABC.
While it won't pull much more than 6.5 or 7 million viewers, Samantha Who didn't do all that badly considering it had a kids show for the lead in. If it can at least hold those levels, it will likely remain ABC's top comedy, without the big lead in and that's still saying something. Medialife had SW?'s demo at a 2.1, which I expect increased throughout the hour.

I'm afraid of anything having to air on NBC and Fox wasn't all that nice to Boston Public at the end, but I do agree ABC has treated Boston Legal like utter shit over the past few years. The last minute preemptions, no lead in from Dec.-Mar. most years and little to no promotion has taken its toll on the show. Most programs would never be able to pull 8 million and a 2 demo on their own like Boston Legal does. Imagine if it was on a network with a compatible lead in or program to pair with and some actual promotion. I hope NBC gives his new show a shot next fall. It would make a great companion piece to Law and Order on Wednesdays or maybe even on Mondays at 9 into Medium.

I sampled SW? for the first time in awhile. It still isn't funny. I expect Scrubs could outrate it in the demo. If According to Jim was put after DtwS, it would likely pull better numbers than SW?.

I don't find it to be the funniest thing in the world, but I do think its miles better than another week, another slut on 2.5 Men, Worst ComedyWeek, Jim or any of NBC's comedies. Granted, that's not saying much but its not a bad way to spend 30 minutes.
For comedic value, I'll take the sluts on 2 1/2 Men over Samantha Who any day.
I do watch SW, but not really to laugh, it's more of a time to reflect about the meaning of life while the show plays in the background.

Both options leave me longing for the vastly superior sitcom option in that timeslot last year: Girlfriends!
I've never understood your fascination with that show but it wasn't targeting me so I can handle it. Personally I miss Everybody Loves Raymond and Becker when they were paired here.
